Quality Control
Quality control on a cosmetic packaging order covers five checkpoints: resin verification, in-process dimension and weight checks, assembly function tests (leak, output, torque), decoration and colour verification, and AQL-based final inspection with written reports.

Packaging defects surface as complaints on the filling line: caps that leak, pumps that under-dose, labels that sit off-centre, colour that drifts between lots. Each of those traces back to a measurable parameter that can be controlled.
Our inspection plan is written per order, based on what the pack must do — seal a cosmetic formula, deliver a fixed dose, or hold brand colour across repeat orders.
Inspection and test checklist
Appearance inspection runs against your approved sample under defined lighting. Functional tests are selected according to format. Reports are attached to the shipping documents for each production lot.

Documentation is issued per lot and per order, so your QC team can cross-check what arrived against what was tested.
- Dimension and weight inspection record for the production lot
- Function test results (leak, pump output, torque where applicable)
- Colour approval record against your signed sample or Pantone reference
- Carton quantity and packing verification
- Photos of finished goods and cartons before dispatch

Test reports on this site describe our standard procedures. The report that matters is the one generated for your mould, recipe and surface treatment, and we issue that with your order rather than relying on generic certificates.

What is the accept quality level (AQL) for cosmetic packaging?
We normally apply AQL 1.0 for major defects and 2.5 for minor cosmetic defects under ISO 2859-1 sampling, unless your quality agreement specifies tighter limits for premium retail packs.
Do you test leak resistance for bottles and jars?
Yes. Bottles and jars are tested for leak resistance at the closure, filled and held for 30 minutes with the cap torqued to specification; airless units are also tested for priming and dose consistency.
Can a third-party inspector audit my order?
Yes. We host third-party inspections (SGS, Bureau Veritas, Intertek and others) at the production site and provide the packing list and sample access they require before shipment.
How do you handle defects found after delivery?
Report the lot number, defect type and photos. We review against the retained sample and the lot inspection record, then agree replacement, credit or sorting, in writing.
