What are acrylic cosmetic jars?
Prestige skincare brands often need the weight and clarity of glass without the breakage risk in e-commerce. Acrylic (AS/SAN) jars deliver that: a thick outer wall, a glossy optical clarity close to glass, and a base weight that signals quality in the hand.
Because the acrylic is usually an outer shell around a PP or PET inner cup, the formula only contacts the inner material — so compatibility decisions are made on the inner cup, while the outer shell is chosen for appearance.

How these are manufactured
Parts are moulded by injection, injection blow or extrusion blow moulding depending on the format and material, then assembled, decorated and inspected in lots. Moulding parameters are recorded per mould so repeat orders match the approved sample. Read the manufacturing process.
Quality control
Dimension and weight checks, closure torque, leak and dose testing where relevant, colour verification (ΔE ≤ 1.5 opaque parts) and AQL 1.0/2.5 final inspection. Lot records are supplied with the shipping documents. See the inspection checklist.

Is an acrylic jar heavier than a PP jar?
Yes. A 50 ml acrylic jar typically weighs substantially more than a comparable PP jar because of the thick outer shell and heavy base — that weight is the main reason prestige brands specify it.
Can an acrylic jar be refilled?
Yes. Many acrylic designs allow the inner cup to be replaced while the outer shell and lid are reused. We quote the refill cup separately and confirm the outer shell's reuse cycle with the buyer.
Does the formula contact the acrylic?
In most constructions it does not: the formula sits in a PP or PET inner cup inside the acrylic shell. Contact therefore depends on the inner cup material, which is the part we compatibility-test.
What is the MOQ for acrylic jars?
Acrylic constructions typically start at 3,000 pcs per size because of their multi-part assembly and decoration steps, and 10,000 pcs for custom-moulded shells.
What is the MOQ for acrylic cosmetic jars?

Can I customise the colour?
Yes. Colour is matched to a Pantone reference or a physical sample and verified on production-resin parts. Custom colour matching on body, lid or both is the standard route, and we supply samples for approval before the run.
Can you print or emboss my logo?
Yes — printing, hot stamping, coating, labelling and custom closures are all available for acrylic cosmetic jars. Choose the method with your surface finish in mind: gloss print or foil works best on matte and soft-touch surfaces.
Can I request samples?
