PCR projects fail for one of two reasons: the colour was approved from a Pantone chip rather than production resin, or the recycled percentage was quoted without a certificate. Both are avoidable in the sampling stage.

Opaque and coloured formats tolerate recycled tone variation far better than clear or bright white parts.

Documentation we provide
Recycled content should be verified per grade and per order, and we issue the evidence rather than a claim.

- Pack weight data so the virgin-material reduction can be calculated

Sampling a PCR project
Always approve colour from a moulded sample in the production resin and the final surface finish, not from a plaque or a render. We supply two to three moulded samples per colour so the tone range within the grade is visible before you commit to a run.

What recycled content is realistic in cosmetic packaging?
Between 25% and 100% post-consumer content depending on polymer, colour and grade. rHDPE and rPET are the most widely available; rPP certified cosmetic grades are available with narrower colour ranges.
Will PCR packaging match my brand colour exactly?
At high recycled percentages, exact matches are difficult in white and bright shades. We agree a documented tolerance (typically wider than ΔE 1.5) and approve colour on production-resin samples in the final finish.
Does PCR packaging cost more?
Usually at or above virgin resin pricing, with a premium on certified cosmetic grades. We quote virgin and PCR options side by side so the difference per unit is visible.
What is the MOQ for PCR packaging?
Certified grades typically start at 5,000 pcs because of resin minimum order quantities; non-certified PCR options can start at 3,000 pcs for decorated orders.
